Insert gin pole and connect red halyard and mainsheet to loops.

| I used to recommend using the winch to raise the mast, but when shrouds get hung up and you just keep cranking - you could end up with a bent "T-ball" or a bent gin pole. If it seems hard, check for hang-ups and don't use the winch unless you are sure the shrouds are free. See the picture above. |
